IRELAND's semi-stateown4 transport company, Coras'Iompair Eireann, is to lease 50 Cummins-engined coaches for next season.
They will supplement the CIE coach fleet to meet the demand created by the success of CIE .Tours International which has been particularly successful in attracting tourists to Ireland.
It is expected that the vehicles will be Van Hool Alizee H and Acron integral coaches. powered by Cummins LTA10 290hp engines through Voith automatic gearboxes. The vehicles are expected to be supplied by the Arlington Motor Company.
