IN ITS first full year of production, the LN2 range of Mercedes-Benz sixto 11tonners„ launched in the UK just before last year's Motor Show, has been more successful than its manufacturer expected.
Speaking in Germany last week, Bernd Borkcs, Daimler-Benz's head of sales planning, said that the 1985 production total of the new light truck range at the giant Worth plant would exceed 21,000 units.
The highest annualproduction of the model range it supersedes was 18,000, between 1981 and 1983.
The best-selling model in the LN2 range is the 814, followed by the 809, 914 and 1117.
