A NUMBER of changes are being
suggested for the 1963 Lorry Driver of the Year competition. They will be considered by the National Council earl, next year, An investigation is to be carried out into possible ways of spreading the awards . of trophies between more entrants,' so as to increaSe interest. It is also to be proposed that the regulations be amended to ensure that drivers must remain in their normal driving position at all times, with the exception that thev will still be permitted to .open the offside door whilst reversing.
The possibility of including a reaction test at eliminating centres is to be examined. There is also a likelihood that at least one More round, at Fleetwood, will start up next year:
