Ronald Wilson (Plant Hire) being renewed for eight vehicles and six trailers only by Scottish licensing authority, Alex Brand.
The Derry-based company had applied for a licence for 10 vehicles and eight trailers. In addition, Brand was considering taking disciplinary action because of Ronald Wilson's maintenance record.
A Glasgow public inquiry was told that there was a history of prohibition notices imposed on the company's vehicles going back to 1983. Three of these had been imposed since it had appeared at a previous inquiry in September 1986.
Undertakings were given on behalf of the company that it would inspect its vehicles at regular intervals to ensure they were kept in a fit and roadworthy condition in the future.
