THE INDEPENDENT Express Corporation has taken on Mike Horne as national sales manager. He heads up the 22-strong sales team and 11 internal sales staff.
Like his management colleagues, Mr Horne was previously with express freight distribution company lpec as regional sales manager for the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. He was previously involved in the European and Scandinavian trailer/groupage markets and for Sea Land Containerships on its deep sea container services to the USA, Caribbean and Middle East.
Mr Horne will work from the company's head office in Northampton and has a Northern, Midland and Southern regional sales manager supervising regional sales activity.
