• The National Freight Corporation sent 20 young men and women of widely varied working backgrounds to attend the Industrial Society's "Youth at Work" conference at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday, November 23.
They came from British Road Services Ltd, Freightliners Ltd, National Carriers Ltd, Pickfords Removals Ltd, Containerway and Roadferry Ltd and NFC headquarters.
The conference aimed to develop attitudes of responsibility and reliability in young people at work.
On television and through its own pages, the Daily Mirror has been promoting its "Mystery Box" competition, offering readers the opportunity of winning its contents, worth £10,000. The mystery box was in fact a Ferrymasters 2011 container, specially liveried for the week of the competition.
