ALL records in commercial-vehicle production were broken in October, when 23,685 units were manufactured. In October last year the figure was 21,798. In the first 10 months of the year. 210,921 commercial vehicles were made, compared with 195,600 in the corresponding period of last year.

Although in October only 9,335 commercial vehicles, valued at £5m., were exported, contrasting with 11,150 (£6.1m.) a year ago, 105,367 vehicles were shipped in the first 10 months of this year. compared with 91,217 last year. The value of exports has advanced from £51.7m. to £58.1m.
