The UK's only remaining large car-carrying trailer manufacturer is Transporter Engineering. Formed in I 992. the company builds semi-trailer and drawbar outfits.capable of carrying up to 13 cars, or a car. PCV, 4x4, van mix. Its current 'Plus 11' drawbar is based on its Commercial Motor Trailer of the Year winning design that is now a virtual industry standard, in use by major car transporter operators.
By the year-end, a new "Evolution 3" version will be available.
Today, the factory produces five units per week, which equates to around 80% of the UK market, and is currently working on two large fleet orders.
