Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Karen Miles • Police have arrested seven people in connection with stolen commercial vehicles in two separate operations around the country.

The latest move, which resulted in five of the arrests, occurred when police were alerted by a Tracker device activated on a stolen vehicle and were led to a farm in Surrey.

Apart from the stolen truck, they discovered 13 other vehicles including cars, trucks, plant and agricultural vehicles. Surrey police say they expect a "long enquiry" as they investigate the origin of the other vehicles. So far none of the five, who are all on police bail, has been charged.

Police were called following the theft of the £40,000 rigid vehicle from Associated Asphalt last Wednesday night. The company set off the concealed AA-marketed Tracker device on Thursday morning which allowed police to locate the vehicle.

The Surrey raid follows the discovery by West Midlands police of 10 stolen commercial vehicle engines in a yard in Staffordshire.

The discovery took place after police secured a search warrant for the premises and searched through a selection of the 500-1,000 engines in stock. Ten were immediately identified as stolen. A container car rying a number of engines destined for Singapore was later stopped and another stolen engine was found in the consignment. The two owners of the business have been arrested and are uncharged but remain on police bail.
