SCANIA OPENS UP NORTH WALES • Deeside Truck Services, near Mold in Clwyd, is Scania's latest dealership. It has been opened by Haydock Commercials, the Scania Distributor whose territory includes West Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. The parent company operates from Haydock, near junction 24 on the M6.
The new operation offers 24hour service from Monday morning to Saturday lunchtime and a full 24-hour service via Scania Lifeline's emergency service (Freefone Scania). Ser vice manager is John Mayo and Peter Rowlands is parts manager. Sales are handled by Wynn Jones, who is based at Haydock, and the new company address is Pinfold Lane, Alltrami, Nr Mold, Clwyd, phone (0244) 547202.
VOLVO'S PRINCELY MOVE DOWN SOUTH • Volvo Trucks' distributor, Princes Commercials (Southampton) has moved to larger, more modern premises, investing over 21.4 million on a major site just outside the city on the M271, 600m from Junction 1.
Facilities on the site include a 14-bay workshop, a parts department holding 2750,000 worth of parts and a paint and body shop. The company's new address is Princes Commercials (Southampton), Test Lane, Nursling Industrial Estate, Southampton SO1 9JX, phone (0703) 663500.
KELLEY GOES MULTICAR • Nottingham-based specialist vehicle repairers Kelley Commercial Vehicles has launched a new dealership for the Multicar M25 3.5-tonne GVW, twoand four-wheel drive trucks.
The company is confident that the Multicar will sell well because of its manoeuvrability and its crawler gear ability to climb 450 inclines. Kelley has a tipper demonstrator available for test.
