• Warehouse and distribution group Tibbett and Britten has won contracts with two grocery chains, and is negotiating with a third, for business worth a total of 25 million, says chairman John Harvey.
T&B will distribute dry groceries and liquor to 79 branches of Grandways managing the William Jackson subsidiary's Melton warehouse and acquiring its vehicles.
T&B is also to deliver dry groceries to 80 Argyll Streetowned Lo-Cost shops in a dedicated service using its Radlett base.
Both contracts will involve a total of 30 vehicles.
