the Bedford DLR8 urban artic tractive units has been launched by Perkins.
The kit is claimed to ensure minimum dowtime: it is based on the six-cylinder turbocharged Phaser 1601 engine and has already been installed in several brewery Bedford chassis.
Modified versions of the kit can also be used for other Bedford TL and TK truck models. Prices start around 24,500 and kits are available from Perkins' power centres and distributors in the UK,
