• The Engineering Division of British Airways has taken delivery of 12 new Renault 50 Series vehicles fitted with King & Taylor 4.9m long bodies and inset Rateliff 750kg cantilever lifts, giving total payloads of 2,300kg.
The body design, specified by British Airways to handle aircraft components allows each vehicle to carry up to six standard pallets using the lift platform as part of the vehicle floor.
BA insisted on inset tail-lifts so that the overall length of the trucks was not affected.
