Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRENDAN BARRETT has been elected president of the Irish Road Haulage Association. Mr Barrett entered the haulage industry in the mid-fifties, starting the Meath based firm Richmond Storage and Transit. He succeeds JIM WALSH, a director of the New Ross firm Staffords Transport, who has been president of the association since 1982.

PERSONAL pressures have caused John Konstas to quit his position as managing director of Independent Express Corporation and return to his native Australia.

Mr Konstas, together with compatriots Michael Egan, Bob Wales and Jim Wares, left the Australian-based Interstate Parcel Express Company (Ipec) to form the board of IEC in October 1983.

The company has no immediate plans to find a new managing director, but Geoff Thomas of the Transport Development Group which provided finance for the new venture has taken over Mr Konstas's responsibilities for finance and administration.
