TAYSIDE Regional Council Committee agreed last week to write again to the Secretary of State for Scotland asking for a council member to be elected to the board of the Scottish Bus Group.
The committee had been considering a report by director of transport A. R. Westwell. It was learned that the group's operation recorded a loss of Elm — after receiving financial aid from regional councils of almost Om.
Convener Scott Ferguson said the Northern Bus Co, Midland Bus Co and Fife Bus Co continued to operate only because of financial support from Tayside Regional Council's subsidy.
