ANGLO Coachbuilders Ltd, Batley, Yorks, has built a bus designed to operate in difficult terrain.
The bus, based on a Bedford MK four-wheel-drive chassis, has been supplied to Penn World Travel at Hereford for operation in Afghanistan.
Fitted with 25 high-backed seats and powered by the Bedford 500cuin diesel engine, the bus has a steel framed aluminium body with a simple parts replacement system.
Anglo Coachbuilders feel that this type of vehicle could well have market potential for the military and for construction site and adventure tour operating.
