Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A number of new sections are included in the Motor Trader Handbook 1972, which is in more compact form than previous editions and has been restyled for ease of use. The Handbook now measures gin. by and has 460 pages. Compiled in collaboration with the staff of Motor Trader, it is published by IPC Transport Press Ltd, Dorset House, Stamford Street, London SE1 9LU, at £3.50.

Metric conversion tables are a new feature that should be of practical use to a large number of readers. They cover conversions of torque readings, specific fuel consumption, mpg and engine output as well as dimensions and volumes, temperatures, liquid measures and so on.

A new products index gives the dates of the issues of Motor Trader in which new motor accessories, components and garage equipment were reviewed during the 12 months from October 1970 to September 1971. Other new sections cover tape-player

specifications, wheel and tyre sizes of vehicles based on car chassis, and outboard engine specifications. The vehicle and engine spare parts section has been revised and enlarged. It includes the names of suppliers of spares for the majority of vehicle makes 'produced or marketed in this country.

The legal guide has been brought up to date by the legal advisors of Motor Trader and there are tables of current MAA /SMTA breakdown charges. Other sections have also been revised and include one giving classified headings showing manufacturers and suppliers of tools, garage and workshop equipment sold for use in the motor industry, and a list of approximately 3500 trade names of goods. Approximately 3000 names are given of manufacturers, concessionnaires and wholesalers in the motor and motorcycle industries with telegraphic addresses, telex numbers, telephone numbers and, frequently, the names of sales and service managers.
