BARTOTransport of Chilwell, Notts, has NAj applied to the East Midlands Traffic Commissioners for permission to raise fares on its routes in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
It wants to increase single fares up to and including 2s by Id and those over 2s by 2d. It also wants to abolish ordinary and workmen's return fares and multiple journey tickets.
By special dispensation Barton is operating certain one-man services without issuing tickets. Abolition of return fares would enable this to be extended.
