Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THERE is to be closer collaboration between the RHA and the National Coal Board. This follows talks between Mr. a K. Newman, secretary-general of the Association, and Brig. E. V. Molyneux, director of NCB road transport services.

The board has been reorganized on an area basis and transport is now treated as a separate department. Each of the 17 areas has a transport manager, with an assistant and a fleet engineer. Hiring contracts are still based on the present policy and will be made mainly through NCB area offices.

As Brig. Molyneux suggested, a semi-permanent body is to meet twice a year, or as required, to discuss matters of mutual interest.

There will be three representatives from each side. The NCB will be represented by the commercial manager, road transport department engineer and an area transport manager. RHA delegates will be Mr. A. E. Wineheomb, chairman of the tipping vehicles group, and Mr. E. Hemphill and Mr_ E. L. Williams, two of the vicechairmen.

HCVC AT SUFFOLK SHOW THE Historic Commercial Vehicles Club is to stage a display at a county show for the first time next week. This will be the Suffolk County Show at Ipswich on May 31 and June I. Each day 35 vintage commercials will parade, including the 1917 "Chivers" Leyland van, the 1913 McCurd, the 1913 "military" Wolseley and the 1927 Seania-Vabis which took part in the Brighton Run a couple of weeks ago.
