STATING that he carried turn;ture "...land cattle in his container vehitie, a Guisborough haulier recently. opposed an application by Mr, A. W. Knaggs to the Northern Licensing Authority .for licence to do furniture removals. The haulier contended that .ft's methods were hygienic, as he kept the, container Washed and disinfected, Granting the applicant a B licence to carry furniture within a 10-mile radim. the Licensing Authority said -that there_ were maiiy people; including himself. who 'would not dream of sending furniture in a cattle container, no matter how well it had been disinfected. .
