A subsidiary of oil giant Shell UK which set up a "project" truckstop four years ago. It is open to the public but 98% of its customers are HGV drivers.
Sites: Dartmouth Road, Smethwick of J1 of the M5.
Opening hours: 24 hours a day, closed on Saturdays and Bank holidays.
Parking: Space for 320 trucks to park overnight, with 24-hour security.
Accommodation: 27 rooms with showers, toilets and pay TVs. Cost £13 for room.
Food: restaurant open 24 hours a day. English breakfast costs £2.30; mug of tea is 25p; average main meal costs £3.20; soup costs 60p and pudding 85p. Bar.
Entertainment: Bar (pint of bitter costs £1.20; lager £1.32); pool tables and darts. Free videos; live entertainment.
