PERHAPS the largest single party to visit London for the Coronation celebrations will come from Rochdale. Nine thousand residents will see the sights in 180 London Transport buses.
The visitors will arrive at Windsor in special trains on May 22. After they have seen the Castle and the town they will be driven past the landmarks of London to Alexandra Palace, where they will he entertained. Beginning at midnight, they will be taken to view the illuminations before entraining for home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
