• It has been announced by Highway Trailers (Great Britain) Ltd that the company's 75 Fleet Special range of semi-trailers has been extended and now includes coil carriers, TIR, box-van, skeletal and fiat-platform semi-trailers. Two new production lines have been laid down in the Southampton factory making four in all.
Examples of the. latest addition to the Highway range are coil carrying units for use at 30-ton gross-combination-weight built for the British Steel Corporation. Similar units for 32 tons gross are now in service with BRSL and these have provision for uprating to meet a 44-ton-gross limit if this is introduced.
