Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by David Lowe • A new venue for the Northants LDoY eliminator on Sunday proved to be a considerable improvement on the one used in previous years. The event, which was held in the new cattle market at Kettering, attracted 89 entries and with more than enough room to spare, the organizers hope that next year there will be a much larger entry.

A high standard of driving and the keen competition was particularly reflected in the results for class D which was won by L. Fleming of Shell-Mex and BP Ltd with a loss of only 42 points followed by his colleague Fl. Woolley with a loss of 43 points. Third place was taken by B. Batten who lost only 47 points, three less than the winner of class A.

Overall winner of the contest was B. Trowmans, of Shell-Mex and BP, who also won class F with a loss of only 69 points. These two class wins by Shell drivers brings the total of national finalists for the company to 14 with a number of rounds still to be run. Shell drivers from the Royston depot also won the team award, Class C was notable in comparison with class D for very high points losses, the winner. H. Tack of S.W. Wieford and Sons Ltd, incurring 183 penalty points and second and third place men achieving 214 and 216 respectively.

J. Murphy. of A. Clarke (Transport) Ltd, had a very close win in class H with a loss of 80 points, beating K. Driver of Shell-Mex arid BP by only one point.
