1 Liverpool-based Mercedes-Benz Lealership Road Range has opened service and parts outlet near iolywell, just outside Flint in 4orth Wales. The workshop is capade of working on three trucks or six .ans, and the ultimate aim is for it o open round the dock.
"We'll start opening until midlight within the next month," says lealer principal Ged Stringer. Were not finding it difficult to ecruit the technicians we need." The intake of orders for new rucks has perked up since the start of the year, he reports, with smaller operators expressing particular interest in the Adios 2543.
Stringer is also hoping to sell Mitsubishi's Canter, which is due to become the responsibility of Mercedes, from i November onwards. "I think it would do especially well in North Wales and on Deeside," he remarks.
"Anything that helps us talk to more customers, sell more product, and make more profit has to be welcomed, just so long as it doesn't damage our core Mercedes activity."
