Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

British trucks continue to fall. We hear a lot about attitudes and duty.

The time is now 12.37pm on a Tuesday. I have just telephoned the headquarters of a major British manufacturer. The conversation went as follows:

"Good morning. . . may I speak to X?"

"l'm sorry, they're all at lunch at the moment."

"Is there anyone else I can speak to?"

"No, they all go to lunch at the same time, and there is no one available."

"I think buy a Volvo . . .

"Well, I'm sorry, that's the way it is."

12.37pm on a major working weekday. Amazing. Quite amazing.
