Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Peter Wilkinson OBE, the retired RAF wing commander who was a prominent member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, has died at the age of 67. He was best known for his work over a long period on the institute's computerised maintenance coding system, VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards).

Wing Commander Wilkinson last year wrote a comprehensive review of VMRS, and presented a paper on the subject at the 1985 European Transport Maintenance Council conference in Strasbourg. He is survived by his widow, Joyce, and one daughter.
