Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two former British Road Services executives, lain Howie and Peter Rogers, have bought Brighton Van Hire from its founder, Peter Henning.

Backing for the buyout was provided by the venture capital group 3i — Investors in Industry.

Now re-named BVH Truck Rentals Limited, the business was founded in 1969 and has assets of £1.5 million. It operates a fleet of 250 commercial vehicles, from light vans to 38-tonne tractor units, from five depots in south-east England.

Its new owners plan to establish further depots in Guildford, Maidstone and Southampton and will concentrate on building up the contract hire sector of the business.

Comments 3i: 'We are keen to provide a sound capital base in this type of situation. Their plans and projections are practical and promising."
