• As recognition for thriving enterprise, light haulier B and D Transport from Newtown, Powys, has won the midWales Rural Enterprise Award scheme, and £1,000 prize money.
The father and son partnership of Robert and David Johnson began five years ago and now employs 22 people, 15 vehicles and serves 150 customers. Thirteen of the vehicles run long-term delivery contracts for Kays and Great Universal Stores in midWales, while two work solely for parcels carrier TNT.
