has taken its first Scania tractive unit. The 6x4 R 142E RC prime mover has a 313kW (420hp) 14.2-litre turbocharged and charge-cooled V8 engine and a 10-geared range-change gearbox.
It will operate with an Italian-built 200-tonne capacity Cornmetto trailer equipped with eight independently steered axles, which can also be raised or lowered. The RIVE will carry loads for the oil, electricity and heavy engineering industries.
