Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN your July 5 issue you provided information on vehicle bodybuilders by way of a bodybuilders guide. You gave due reference to the Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association and for that I thank you.

However, one statement has caused us some concern and that is that in many cases these kits can be assembled by the operators or chassis suppliers' own workshop staff'', Obviously, there is every possibility for qualified staff to be able to assemble kit bodies, but we have been concerned of late with the proliferation of these kits and the fact that, in some instances, they are being sold direct to the end user, without there being any indication that the end user knows the requirements.

Would your author be prepared to have such a statement qualified?

J. G. MELLOR General Secretary The Vehicle Builders' and Repairers' Association Leeds
