SOLIHULL-based bodybuilders Wilsdon and Co Ltd have just completed the conversion of five vehicles for use by the social services department of Liverpool City Corporation.
The Ford A-Series vehicles were fitted with side windows, a removable rear window and foldaway tail lifts. The sides and roof of the body have been insulated with polystyrene.
A fold-out step was provided at the nearside entrance with the floor being ramped from the step to the main floor of the vehicle. Shorefast track has been fitted to the floor and the body sides for seat and wheelchair location.
