WOMEN passengers who travelled to work each morning in a minibus are angry because they are now having to depend on "unreliable" public transport. This is because the operator who hired the coach has been told he must stop because he has no licence.
The service operated by Mr David Burns was between Hamilton and East Kilbride. A spot check by police revealed no mechanical fault. However, the Scottish Traffic Commissioners have told Mr Burn that a licence will hot be issued until a need for the service is shown. • The women claim that the alternative of travelling by SMT took nearly twice as long as the minibus _journey, as well as costing'.more.
