north-east England and Belfast is now operating on Saturdays. Operated jointly by National Travel (NBC) Ltd and Ulsterbus, the service uses the LarneStranraer short-sea route and serves Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Washington, Sunderland, Seaham, Peterlee, Hartlepool and Billingham. The journey takes about 12 hours and the adult return fare is about El 1 . A SERIES of changes in bus services has been announced by the West Midland Passenger Transport Executive.
The charges proposed, which are subject to the approval of the Traffic Commissioners, will require six additional buses and 16-20 extra drivers, which can be provided from the Executive's existing resources.
