A HAULAGE operation which is to take about nine months to complete is to be undertaken by Robert Wynn and Sons Ltd.

The operation involves the delivery of heavy electrical equipment for the Kariba North Power Station in Zambia. In conjunction with Mammoet Transport of Hengelo, Holland, Wynn will ship six heavy trailers and eight tractors to Dar Es Salaam, in Tanzania, to receive loads which will then be transported a distance of 1,400 miles to the power station. There will be a total of 44 loads.

In addition to the transport vehicles Wynn is shipping out six mobile caravans, a car and a caravan for escort duties and living accommodation for the crews of the trans porters. Mobile maintenance and fuelling facilities will also be provided. ,
