Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TRUCKPOL HAS revealed a rise in the number of thefts from lorries while they are still in transit.

The freight-crime intelligence unit explains how the trend involves a vehicle pulling in front of a truck and slowing it down, while at the same time distracting the driver. While the driver is distracted, thieves open the roller shutters at the rear of the vehicle and steal the goods within. The lorry driver remains unaware a theft has even taken place until they have reached their next destination. Such incidents have been prevalent in London, however forces in Merseyside and Scotland have now seen incidents springing up.
