Iveco dealer Northern Commercials has delivered three new vehicles to Brocklehurst Transport with Euro-5 EEV to beat the London LEZ changes
Words: Kevin Swallow
DEWSBURY-BASED Brocklehurst Transport has brought in three new Iveco trucks with Euro-5 enhanced environmentally friendly vehicle (EEV) engine to beat the changes to London’s Low Emission Zone (LEZ).
They replace older trucks in the fleet and will travel from Yorkshire to London. MD Dave Webster says the EEVcompliant engine as standard is an added benefit. “The cleaner emissions will protect our fleet against future legislation changes. Every truck we send into London will meet the emissions requirement,” he says.
Brocklehurst Transport has a 30-plus strong fleet and has been buying trucks from the Iveco dealer Northern Commercials for more than 20 years.
The new arrivals are a Stralis 6x2 twinsteer tractor powered by the Cursor 10 450hp engine, and two Eurocargos; a 7.5tonne powered by a 3.9-litre 180hp engine and an 18-tonner with 5.9-litre 300 hp engine, with Micra curtainsided bodies and Zepro tail-lifts. ■
