BCA welcomes Sheffield and Burr to its CV team
Words: Kevin Swallow BRITISH CAR AUCTIONS (BCA) has announced two new appointments to its CV team: Dominic Burr has been named as auction manager at BCA Measham Commercials, and Charles Shefield as the new group senior commercial auctioneer.
Burr joined BCA in 2002 as a trainee manager at Measham Commercials before he was promoted to operations and marketing support manager for light CVs in 2004. Subsequently, he became LCV manager at Birmingham and then at Blackbushe in 2008, before taking over the sales manager role at Bedford.
He will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the branch, improving customer service and focusing on new business development. “My aim is to continue to build BCA Measham’s reputation in the CV sector, particularly focusing on our expertise in sales of HGV, plant and farming equipment,” he says.
“We currently have an expanding sales programme, selling light CVs on a weekly basis, for a number of a large contract hire, leet and dealer groups including Lex Autolease, LeasePlan and Ford Retail.” Meanwhile, BCA has also announced that it will increase the selling capacity at Measham Commercials by building a second auction hall to be formally opened in March. Both auction halls will work in conjunction during a sale.
Charles Shefield has more than 30 years’ experience in the CV sector.
