Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

This week sees the launch of our Buyers’ Guides – a series of impartial guides, written to help you make purchasing decisions. As well as day-to-day products and services, like engine oils, truck finance and tachograph analysis, we’ll also be looking at the more unusual procurements, such as truck washing machines, yard counterbalance trucks, legal advice and fuel storage equipment. While we won’t be advising you on brands, we will be looking at the types of

products and services on offer, leaving the final decision to you.

Although concise versions of the guides will be published in Commercial Motor (kicking off with tyre management), this and all subsequent guides will be run in greater detail on our website Commercialmotor.com (where space is not at a premium). Here you will find more information, with charts, videos and links to valuable resources. So far there are seven Buyers’ Guides online (AdBlue, Driver CPC, tachograph analysis, telematics, engine oils and buying from auction), and you can access them for free at www.commercialmotor.com/buyers-guides. Heading up our Buyers’ Guides is technical editor and industry expert David Wilcox, who has a vast amount of experience in not just writing about these subjects, but also making the purchasing decisions. Some older readers might remember him from his eight-year stint on Commercial Motor (1978 to 1986), but after leaving us has held a number of posts at the coalface, including five years as distribution manager at Armitage Shanks in Staffordshire. David is being supported by the rest

of our award-winning technical team: deputy technical editor Kevin Swallow and technical reporter George Barrow.
