THE NUMBER of casualties among goods vehicle occupants increased by nine per cent in the third quarter of last year compared with the year before, according to the latest accident statistics.
The figures show that the number of deaths rose by 12 per cent to 58, and the number of seriously injured increased by 11 per cent to 626. The number of slightly injured people rose eight per cent to 2,056.
