AS A Garden of Eden, the Woodland Transport Hotel on the Great North Road could hardly be better named. But idyllic as the place apparently already is, it is, in the words of a Press release, to be turned into a 'truckers paradise-.
The lorry drivers' fairy godmother is Mrs Nadina Braithwaite, formerly a fashion buyer whose talents in this direction have been made redundant by the cult of the fig leaf in Eden.
She is extending the premises, which already has 32 bedrooms, and plans to offer the kind of servicedemanded by -juggernaut drivers . . . often at executive-level salaries of around £10,000 a year.
