k. MEETING earlier this week was expected to decide the iransport and General Workers Union's attitude to the tacho:raph.
Drivers have already voted convincingly to reject a TGWU all for industrial action against the installation and use of achographs, and the national trade group was due to discuss its text move on Thursday, January 24.
One likely move would be to seek an extra payment for acho-fitted lorries, but the Road Haulage Association has heady expressed strong opposition to such a proposal.
