AFTER having built more than 330,000 examples of the frontwheel-drive Peugeot J7 van, the French manufacturer has announced the introduction of the J9.
This continues many of the petrol engine.
features which have made its predecessor so successful in its class, but incorporates improved styling and better aerodynamics.
Three engine options are listed for the J9 which is suitable for payloads up to 1900kg. They include a 2.3-litre, 49kW diesel; a 1.6-litre, 43kW petrol engine; and a 2-litre, 55kW By virtue of its driveline arrangement the chassis can be easily stretched to accommodate special bodywork without losing the benefit of the low floor height — 0.5m.
• High roof versions are offered to provide capacity up to 21cum for light and bulky loads. Headroom can be as large as 2.35m.
