CHESTER City Transport needs a 13 per cent fares increase if it is not to incur a loss this year.
Transport manager David Clarke says that increased fuel and labour costs are pushing the undertaking's finances in the wrong direction. Last year, it made an £80,000 profit.
It has lost money twice in the last 12 years, and Mr Clarke is determined that 1980 will not see this success story changed.
