A ROCHDALE parcels carrier is reporting a big increase in payload performance since adopting the drawbar system.
Span Express Parcels is now using five Scania 81 rigids fitted with Swedish VBG drawbar couplings and pulling drawbar trailers.
Total length of the outfit is , 59ft, which is the legal maximum for this type of configuration, and it has a gross train weight of 32 tons.
