Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

was exempted from the need to take a test when my current licence was issued in 1970.

Could I apply for a new hgv (although I have not driven a heavy vehicle for the past two years) without taking a test and would I need to have a medical? Is the application form for a new licence the same as the one I applied for in 1970?

What is the cost of an hgv licence, as my previous one was paid for by my employer?

AThere is no reason why you cannot apply to renew your hgv licence even though you have not driven such vehicles within the past two years. You do not need to take another medical examination. So far as is known, the form for first application and that for renewal is identical. The fee for an hgv licence is £1 for a full licence which normally lasts for three years.
