• The repair pit in premises used by Bardsley, near Oldham, haulier was block by a derelict car, a vehicle examiner told t North Western LA, Mr C. R. Hodgson, Manchester last week. Mr S. Lawley, t examiner, said that when he visited t premises of H. and A. Haulage, of Oldhal he examined three vehicles and because defects on one, a Bedford, and the fact th although records were being kept they we inadequate, he issued an immediate GV9.
Mr H. Ashton, a partner in the compai said there had been some difficulties becau of redevelopment at the firm's premises Bardsley. Proper records were now bei kept, a pit had been completed with a ho and ramp and arrangements have be made for regular inspections. The al)/ cation was for four vehicles and o trailer with a similar number to I acquired. Mr Hodgson said he wot adjourn the matter for a further exam ation by Mr Lawley, and would consic the matter again when he received I report.
