Sentinel Steamers.

Mr. Alexander W. Weir, the chief superintendent of the Liverpool Fire Brigade, has addressed the underquoted letter to Alley and MacLellan, Ltd., of Glasgow, which company supplied a three-ton rubber-tired Sentinel wagon, fitted with a Kermode oil-fuel burner, to the Liverpool brigade, a little more than a year ago; thevehicle is used for second-service purposes' : -" Having now had your Sentinel wagon in use over 12 months, I thought you might like my opinion of it. It is, of course, not doing so much running as a commercial vehicle, but, on the other hand, is continually under steam, and is turned out at a moment's notice. It has quite come up to my expectations as to its usefulness, and is at present in quite as good condition as when purchased."
