W. Mills, 44, has been appointed Freight Transport .Association assistant secretary—a new post created owing to the expansion of FTA membership and services. At present Mr Mills is Yorkshire divisional secretary, a post which he has held since the formation of the Yorkshire division in 1965; before then he was Northern divisional secretary. He takes up his new post on March 1. Mr Mills will be succeeded in Yorkshire by D. Mcintyre, 28, who is assistant divisional secretary to the Scottish division, a post which he has held since 1969. Mr McIntyre first joined the Association in 1966 as an executive officer on the head office staff.
