• The 1970 Congress of the Institute of Transport will be held at the Waldorf Hotel, London, from May 19 to 22. On the 19th there will be a reception at Guildhall. On the mornings of May 20, 21, 22 three papers will be presented On the first day Mr, FlaIf Freeman will address congress on urban transport The following day Mr. R. S. Polascheck, the Secretary of Transport to the New Zealand Government, will speak on transport in New Zealand The last session of the congress will be addressed by Mr. J. L Alexander, managing director, Ocean Steamship Co. Ltd., who will present the 1970 Reginald Groute Memorial Lecture which will be largely devoted to shipping. On two afternoons there will be visits to places of interest.
